 about

I have been doing art in some form since my 20's. When faced with the relative inactivity of pregnancy, I decided drawing and pastels might be a nice pastime. Little did I know then, how addictive it would be.

Now, in my more mature years (at least some of the time), I dabble in pastels, acrylics, oils, inks, porcelain paints, encaustic work, mixed media, pen and pencil - reflecting farming and coastal Aussie life. I love australian colours, animals and the people around me, so that's what my subject matter is.

I am never happier than when armed with a cold cup of tea, and a piece of art that is "working".

My work can be seen in many local art exhibitions, as well as the odd one further afield (eg Cossack Art Award and Wagin Woolorama). I have represented my shire many times in the Agricultural Award at the Royal Perth Show, and enjoy the continuing success of Margaret River Open Studios each year.
