musings..."do unto others..."

I have recently come to the realization that one of the main tenets of my life to some extent dictates how I treat others and react to them, while reflecting the art that I instinctively do.

It doesn't matter whose company I am in, I behave in a way that I find is designed to allow them the opportunity to be happy in my company. This is how I would like to be treated, and so it goes...

In viewing art, I want to be happy, uplifted and taken to a place of content, reflection and identifying with...so my art is all about the things that make me happy and reflect the joy and beauty in the world around me. I don't want to see the endless parade of dark, "slit your wrist" style of art. There is way too much of that in the world, both in art and life. Why immortalize it? Occasionally, as a cathartic experience, there is a drive to reflect the dark, but let's balance it with hope...

"Do unto others..." and make someone smile.
